The Rifles Sloe Gin is something you can either enjoy yourself or share with friends (if you feel so inclined), or of course it will make a perfect and quite unusual presentation gift.
Sloe Gin has been the traditional drink out in the fields for decades. It has been served in messes across the world and is well known as the perfect 'pick-me-up' on a cold day. Don't let the cold bit put you off however as we can promise it will be delicious regardless of the weather and can be mixed with tonic or lemonade to make a wonderful summer drink. This particular Sloe Gin is slightly paler, but stronger (29%) and less sweet than most Sloe Gins and works well served neat or mixed.
Although a pure coincidence the wording on the label 'Recognisably Different' sits well with one of the most successful recruiting slogans of the regiment from some 40 years ago when pointing out its uniqueness from other regiments by asking ' Do YOU want to be different?'
The regimental connection: Made by the small family firm of the Foxdenton Estate Company which specialises in traditional fruit gins. The company is owned by the Radclyffe family who have had a long association with the Royal Green Jackets and two of its antecedent regiment the Kings Royal RIfle Corps and Rifle Brigade with family members having served in all three. To this day the Radclyffes are keen to support their former regiments and The Rifles.
